The latest College of Policing guidance on investigating road deaths recommends that an appropriate review process should be developed and implemented. The Sancus two day Reviewing Serious Collision Investigations Course is designed to enable forces to carry out this obligation in a constructive and cost effective manner.
The course has been developed in accordance with the learning outcomes published in the College of Policing National Policing Curriculum Module “Reviewing Serious Collision Investigations”. The course will equip delegates with a structure to carry out reviews of serious collision investigations which will identify missed investigative opportunities, and make case-specific or organisational recommendations as necessary. Building on extensive experience in investigation and reviews, the training is delivered by an experienced Lead Investigator.
The two day course consists of a series of presentations covering the fundamentals of the review process. Presentations will be supported by a scenario based exercise involving the review of a fatal road collision investigation.
Sancus Reviewing Serious Collision Investigations Training can be delivered for your organisations, at a venue of your choice. If you have a number of candidates it may be cost effective to host the course in your own force. Because of the specialist nature of this training it is beneficial for us to discuss your exact needs and requirements. Please contact us and our senior course trainer will be pleased to arrange a consultation.
